Caturday Revival

I haven't done Caturday for about two months. Whoops. I never intended to stop, persay, but it got really easy to skip. I also skipped last Wednesday - but this week has been incredibly busy, so I have plenty of excuses.

Since I haven't done Caturday in so long, I decided that instead of giving myself a way out of it by trying to think of a theme and possibly not coming up with anything, I'm going to make it about my own cats.

If you're here because you're one of the people who see my cats on a regular basis, you may have seen these pictures before. I can only get so many interesting pictures at a time, since the cats are usually

just lazing around.

But I'm also going to talk about them a little bit, in case you've just started tuning in recently. And also because I want to, because they are my cats and I think they're great. Surprising, I know.

Sleepy Caturday

Happy Caturday, internet! Cats, like people, yawn before they go to sleep, when they wake up, and also randomly for no apparent reason. Cats, however, are much cuter when they yawn. If you were prepared to disagree, my reasons are listed below.

Cat Circus

While looking for Caturday ideas, I found out that there is a traveling cat circus show.

I've never been, having just found out about it today obviously, but their website's worth a look!

They were also featured on Animal Planet with the world's only cat band.

And they say you can't train cats, pfft.

Oops I Caturday'd Again

Last week, I forgot Caturday. Well, no, I didn't, but I was busy all day. I'd say I'd make it up to you with an extravagant Caturday today, but I'm not going to because I will also be busy all day today! Tomorrow, as I mentioned briefly yesterday, we're having a DnD overnight event, so I have to get prepared. I'm also leaving today for a separate social event.

I'm sorry, here's some great cats to make it up to you.

Hello, and welcome to Caturday! Today I'm going to highlight one of the less glorious parts of cat ownership...

"That's gross," you say "why do you even think this is a good idea?" you ask nobody in particular, as you contemplate not reading the rest of this post even though there will be cute cat pictures in it.

Well, you see, cats are adorable and do tons of super cute things, but they also definitely have to poop, in fact I'd say most likely daily, if not more often. It's a reality that is important to acknowledge if you want a happy cat, and understanding cat bathroom habits can help your cat caretaking skills immensely.

There is actually a buttload of information regarding cats and their poop boxes. You could write a full length novel about it. Luckily, you don't have to do that, and you can just read this post. So, let's get right into this crap!

Get Out the Way! It's Caturday!

Since I started blogging again after my move, I found more Warcraft related topics to write about than I had thought I would. I've really just been doing so much house-related stuff that there aren't even other topics to write about. I may do a Story of Seasons post, but I've only been able to play it for a few hours - only seven so far. Today, however, my post always explains itself for me.

Today's not a theme post because the pictures I found that I liked vary too much. Without further ado, here are the pictures I found today that made me make noises that would have warranted strange looks if I had been in public.

Home Sweet Caturday

Since we moved, the three cats have been a bit skittish as they are settling in, but this is Toona's third move and Fishcake's second, while technically also being Kirin's second (although the first time he moved, it was when we adopted him!)

where have you taken me?

Kirin has been the most brave, exploring in the face of danger and unfamiliar noises and not batting an eye at 'strangers'. Fishcake hid under the couch for five hours when we got here, but Toona was the one who hid from the Verizon technician. Both Toona and Fish hide when the door opens, though occasionally a loud noise will scare all three under the couch.

I have a few pictures of them adjusting to their new home for you this Caturday, so please forgive me for my own little show off of my own cats!

Big Caturday!

Welcome to Caturday! Today we're celebrating the animals your cat thinks he is - the big cats.

Big cats are not the ones we domesticated into your lazy little purr machine. No, that would have been quite the accomplishment - house cats are likely descended from domesticated wild cats, quite literally wild... cats, that looks sorta like your basic tabby, but, you know, wild. Still, it's all relative, and your fluff ball shares a lot of similarities with these ferocious teeth and claws that make up big cats.

Happy Caturday! As we all know, cats love boxes, and laundry baskets, and sitting on the only piece of clothing on the entire bed or couch, and basically anything that is a shape. Cats will even sit in the illusion of a shape.

Certified Organic Locally Grown Caturday

Today I'm heading to the grocery store on the first day of genuine attempt to stop eating fast food to save money and (hopefully) lose weight.

I mean, I've been to a grocery store before, but I've been shopping like a confused teenager for awhile. In less than a month I'll be closer to 30 years old than 20, so McDonalds should probably stop being considered a reasonable place to eat more than once a day. While being healthy and saving money can get pretty tricky, nothing else is quite as simultaneously expensive and horrible for you as fast food on a regular basis.

Caturday! - Business Cat

Today for Caturday, I will share with you one of my favorite webcomics, Happy Jar. Happy Jar is currently not updating, but if you've never read it before, there are already plenty of comics to read.

Happy Jar once upon a time made a comic about "Business Cat," which is rather well known, but I feel like not everyone who's seen business cat has actually read Happy Jar's comics. Business Cat is a man with a cat's head - and probably brain - who is somehow the CEO of a business.

Today we'll take a look at some business oriented cats in celebration of Business Cat.
